1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Squaded mobile application and website (the "Service") operated by Squaded ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By using Squaded, you warrant that you are at least 13 years of age and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

2. Description of Service

Squaded is a football team management platform that enables users to:

• Create and manage football squads
• Schedule matches and training sessions
• Organise teams and assign captains
• Set team formations
• Track player availability through RSVP
• Manage guest players
• View match statistics and squad leaderboards
• Communicate with squad members

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You may register using:

• Google Sign-In
• Sign in with Apple
• Email and password

Account Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly update your account information as needed
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Immediately notify us of any unauthorised use

Username Policy

Usernames must:

• Be unique across the platform
• Contain at least 3 characters
• Only include letters, numbers, and underscores
• Not impersonate others or contain offensive content
• Not infringe on trademarks or intellectual property

4. Subscription & Billing

Squaded offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("Squaded Pro") that unlocks additional features including unlimited squads, the formation builder, full stats history, complete match history, squad customisation options, and data export tools.

Available Plans

• Monthly plan (product ID: com.squaded.app.Monthly) currently priced at £3.99 per month.
• Annual plan (product ID: com.squaded.app.Annual) currently priced at £39.99 per year (equivalent to approximately £3.33 per month).

Pricing is shown in the app at the point of purchase and may vary by territory, currency, exchange rate, or promotional offer. Taxes and fees are determined by Apple or Google and added where required.

Auto-Renewal

Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period and identifies the cost of the renewal.

Managing or Cancelling

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by visiting your account settings on the relevant app marketplace (for example, Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on iOS or Google Play > Payments & subscriptions on Android). Deleting the Squaded app does not cancel your subscription.

If you cancel, the subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period and you retain access to Squaded Pro features during that time. When the period ends, your account reverts to the free tier and paid features become unavailable.

Refunds and Support

Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are handled directly by those platforms in line with their policies. Squaded does not provide prorated refunds and cannot process cancellations on your behalf. For billing issues, please contact Apple Support or Google Play Support.

Plan Changes & Restoring Purchases

You may switch between available plans through the app marketplace. Changes take effect at the end of the current billing cycle unless otherwise stated by the platform.

Previously purchased subscriptions can be restored using the "Restore Purchases" option inside the Squaded app while signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for the original purchase.

Squaded does not currently offer free trials. If a trial is introduced in the future, the trial period and renewal terms will be disclosed at the point of signup.

5. User Content and Conduct

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create, including squad information, match details, and formations. By posting content to Squaded, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Upload viruses or malicious code
• Collect or harvest user data without permission
• Use the Service for commercial solicitation without our consent
• Violate the privacy or rights of other users

Content Standards

Content must not:

• Contain discriminatory, offensive, or hateful material
• Promote violence or illegal activities
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Contain adult or inappropriate content
• Violate the privacy of others

6. Squad Management

As a squad manager, you have additional responsibilities:

• Ensure squad activities comply with these Terms
• Respect the privacy of squad members
• Use member contact information only for squad-related purposes
• Not discriminate in team selection based on protected characteristics
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all participants

We reserve the right to remove or suspend squads that violate these Terms or engage in inappropriate behaviour.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user-generated content), features, and functionality are owned by Squaded and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using Squaded, you agree to our collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Squaded. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services.

We use third-party services including Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, Firebase, and Google Places API. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and conditions.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. SQUADED EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any information on the Service.

Squaded is not responsible for:

• The organisation or outcome of any football matches
• The behaviour or actions of users at matches or events
• Any injuries or damages occurring during squad activities
• The availability or condition of football venues

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SQUADED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

In no event shall Squaded's aggregate liability exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the event giving rise to the liability, or one hundred pounds (£100), whichever is less.

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory on which the claim is based and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damage.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Squaded and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time through the account settings or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by other means.

Your continued use of the Service after any changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be struck and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Squaded regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
